Do you like to write? Have you ever wanted to write a book but not sure where to begin? Do you struggle to get your thought down on to paper? Join us for our bi-weekly writing workshop led by Denice Deantonio! No experience necessary and all are welcome! Guided Autobiography is a way to tell your story. Using themes participants are “guided to share their life story. The benefits of Guided Autobiography are: • Increased self-acceptance • Decreased anxiety and tension • Increased energy and vigor • Increased positive view of others • A feeling of connectedness and friendship This is a fun way to review and share your life story. All About Denice: ” I am a lifelong resident of Berks County. I grew up in East Reading and presently reside in Fleetwood. I have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from West Chester University. I also have a Masters Degree in Education from Temple University. I worked for over twenty years as a nurse. I taught high school during the last eight years of my career. I have been trained as a facilitator in Guided Autobiography. I have always enjoyed reading and writing. I have had pieces published in Stroke Connection Magazine, an American Heart Association affiliate. I am presently retired. I enjoy coloring and reading. I am married and have two adult children.”

Pre-school storytime welcomes all children. While our focus is preschool aged children, lapsit infants are young homeschool children are welcome as well. We are not a “hush” library and encourage children to join us who may be new to organized events. Storytime is a great program for children preparing for preschool and kindergarten. Join Marilyn Klimcho at the Oley Valley Community Library for a Three Part Poetry Workshop Series! Part One 8/9/18 from 5:30-7pm Part Two 8/16/18 from 5:30-7pm Part Three 8/23/18 from 5:30-7pm Marilyn LT Klimcho is the author of Steeped in the Ceremony of Great Age, a book of poetry. She is also the author of a short story, Lost Gems, which was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Her work has been published in the Schuylkill Valley Journal and by Studio B in Boyertown as well as in the anthologies: Bird Song and US20, produced by Foothills Publishing.
