Spring has officially arrived in Oley. Although you would not know it from the snow and cold winds still blowing around. If you visit our little library though you will walk into a sunshine yellow room and instantly be warmed up. (And no, I can’t control the heating in the building so sorry if it’s too warm!)
I am already thinking past Spring into Summer, busy planning our 2nd annual Summer Reading Program. Our theme this year is “Dig Into Reading,” or for teens “Beneath the Surface.” We are in search of many things to make this summer spectacular: guest readers for storytime, buddy readers for elementary school students, speakers for teens and adults. The topics we will be covering this summer are digging machines, dirt, animals that live underground, worms, gardening, vegetables, and then on to digging for dinosaur bones, pirate treasure, and ancient egyptian tombs! Do you have knowledge or skills in any of these areas? Would you be willing to help make our Summer Reading Program stupendous? Contact the library today and let me know how you would like to help out!!
